The Kindreds

The Kindreds are the sacred communities of spirits that exist within and alongside the living world. They are often understood as the Land Wights, the Beloved Dead, and the Divine, each existing in sacred relationship with one another and with us. These relationships are not abstract; they are living, reciprocal, and sustained through respect, remembrance, and care.

As an eclectic coven, we honor that truth is not singular and that relationship is not limited to one tradition. Working with the Kindreds allows us to engage spirituality as a practice of connection rather than belief alone. This framework is spacious, adaptable, and deeply rooted, allowing each member to engage authentically while remaining grounded in shared values: reverence for the land, honoring lineage, and listening for wisdom beyond the self.

The Land Wights

The Land Wights are the spirits of the living world around us, those who dwell in stone and stream, root and wind, flame and field. They are the unseen presences of place: guardians of the forest, keepers of the waters, voices in the weather, and spirits of the land itself.

Some Land Wights are ancient and wild, others are familiar and close, but all are worthy of respect. In our tradition, we honor them as living kin and strive to be in right relationship through offerings, observation, and reverent presence. Whether nurturing or unpredictable, the Land Wights remind us that we are part of the great web of life not above it.

The Beloved Dead

The Beloved Dead are those we have loved and lost ancestors of blood, spirit, and heart who dwell beyond the veil but remain with us in presence and memory. They include our forebears, mentors, chosen family, dear friends, siblings, children, and even animal companions who shared our lives with love and loyalty.

Some of the Beloved Dead are ancient, guiding us through the deep roots of lineage and tradition. Others are recent, still tender in our hearts. All are honored for the lives they lived, the lessons they offered, and the ways they continue to shape and support us from the other side.

In our practice, we make space for the Beloved Dead through prayer, offering, remembrance, and story. We welcome them to witness our rites, guide our steps, and walk beside us as part of the greater web of life, death, and rebirth. Through this relationship, we keep their memory alive and carry forward their love and wisdom.

The Divine

The Divine Ones are the sacred powers that transcend and permeate all existence. They may be known as gods, goddesses, or supreme spirits, embodying the highest aspects of wisdom, power, and creation. These beings are the source of inspiration, transformation, and guidance connecting us to the greater mysteries beyond the visible world.

We honor the Divine Ones with reverence, devotion, and open hearts. Our relationship with them is one of respect and dialogue, recognizing their presence as both majestic and intimately connected to the web of life. Through ritual, prayer, and communion, we seek their blessings and wisdom as we walk our spiritual path.
